Dr. del Busto completed her Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Department of Psychiatry where she remains as a Clinical Associate. She is actively involved in the education of medical students at both the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and the Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College. Dr. del Busto has authored multiple peer reviewed articles and book chapters in the field of Forensic Psychiatry and has presented her research in conferences world-wide. As a result, Dr. del Busto has received multiple awards in acknowledgment for her achievements including the coveted Rappaport Fellowship in recognition of excellence in Forensic research as a psychiatry resident. In 2010 she was awarded the Woman of Achievement Award from St. Joseph Hill Academy. She is a current member of the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law (AAPL), the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), and the American Psychiatric Association (APA).

Dr. del Busto is triple-board certified in General Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Forensic Psychiatry; she is also board eligible in Sleep Medicine. She remains one of the few sleep-forensic specialists in the country. As a psychiatrist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, she has experience with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other Anxiety Disorders. In addition, Dr. del Busto has over 5 years’ experience treating various drug and alcohol addictions in acute inpatient rehab facilities. Other areas of expertise include, but are not limited to sexual offenses (both juvenile and adult) and competencies. Dr. del Busto is available to provide written testimony and court appearances as needed for both civil and criminal cases. She believes in being thorough and providing comprehensive written reports.
