ADHD stands for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. It is a neurodevelopmental disorder that primarily affects children and often continues into adulthood.   • Diagnostic Criteria: The clinician will refer to the diagnostic criteria outlined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), which provides guidelines for diagnosing mental health conditions.
