She regularly treats student-athletes, and gifted students and has helped many people transition through many stages and positions in life. Dr. Walsh believes in the importance of trust in a therapeutic relationship as well as patient autonomy. Her goal is to ensure that her patients feel heard and understood, whether discussing routine treatments, medication side effects, or more sensitive topics such as sexuality or abuse. This is particularly beneficial for individuals who feel like their previous psychiatrist wasn’t hearing them or respecting their wishes or goals.

Dr. Walsh completed her medical training at Thomas Jefferson University, psychiatry residency at Temple University Hospital, and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at UNC-Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Psychiatric Associates of Pennsylvania, Dr. Walsh practiced outpatient psychiatry at UNC-Chapel Hill and at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia working with their First-Episode Psychosis Programs, Autism Integrated Care Clinic, Anxiety Disorders Clinic, and General Pediatric Psychiatry Clinic. Dr. Walsh has also engaged in research in Schizophrenia and in Autism and has been involved in the training and supervision of medical students and residents.

Dr. Walsh is available to give talks to professional organizations and community groups on a wide range of topics including first episode psychosis and autism spectrum disorders, among others.
